Founding

1999 Founding FIT Technologies
FIT started as a web-based software company called SchoolOne. Amidst the tech bubble burst in the early 2000s, cofounders Michelle Tomallo and Micki Tubbs paved the way for the education sector to connect home and school with new technology. -
2002 Becoming an E-Rate Provider
As K-12 school clients embraced new technologies, FIT’s team provided much-needed IT consultation, support, and services to become an E-Rate provider. -
2005 Expanding Client Sectors and Jumpstarting Outsourced IT
While continuing software development and IT support in schools, FIT saw a growing interest for outsourced services from the business community. FIT leveraged this trend to garner its first clients outside K-12 schools. -
2006 Relocating the Headquarters to Cleveland
FIT moved its headquarters to downtown Cleveland in the historic Playhouse Square District in an effort to attract employees and increase visibility of its brand. -
2010 Pioneering a New IT Services Model
As the market emerged from the recession, FIT divested its software development company to focus solely on Managed IT Services. FIT pioneered a flat-rate, value-driven model focused on long-term client relationships. -
2015 Innovating for Exponential Growth
FIT invested significantly in network hardware, making it possible to offer clients a monthly leased fee to upgrade their environments. Organizations of all sizes took advantage of this as a service model, and FIT’s client base and revenue grew exponentially. -
2018 Creating a Legacy with Employee Ownership
As FIT’s 20th Anniversary approached, the cofounders looked at a way to create a legacy for the firm’s culture and reward employees for their dedication and service. As a result, FIT became a 100% employee-owned company. -
NOW Driving Success through Core Values
FIT is the largest Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Ohio and continues to expand its value-based services, attract quality talent, and strengthen client relationships. FIT’s team supports over 100,000 users in a variety of sectors and in 33 states across the country.
